Kismet

"Kismet" is a fitting name for this restaurant as it's a stroke of good luck to wander into this hip, neighborhood spot in the Loz Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The menu offers a selection of Middle Eastern-influenced small plates ranging from Persian crunchy rice to chicken lemony pies. Surrounded by the intimate and minimalistic space, diners will be tempted to stay for dessert, like the cultured ricotta cheesecake or yogurt meringue. Over our Mediterranean meal, author Simon Sinek discusses his career in thought leadership books and how he hopes to continue helping people find their "why."

Carbone

This famous New York eatery has made a splash since opening its newest location in Miami Beach 2years ago. The uniquely retro-glam, upmarket feel of the Miami location attracts diners from near and far who rave about the Italian-American menu founded by namesake Mario Carbone. Against this dazzling Miami Beach backdrop, champion skier Lindsey Vonn opens up on how her purpose and mission has evolved since starting the Lindsey Vonn Foundation.

Highlights include the autumn harvest salad, the nine goddess curry, and, if you're craving something a bit sweeter, the buckwheat pancakes. Visitors can also enjoy a spa treatment or yoga class in the club after their meal. Diners are able to cook a Japanese hotpot in bubbling broth at the table, customizing their meal with an array of vegetables and delicious sauces. This experience + the mouthwatering food make it a no-brainer for Robert Reffekin, CEO of Compass, to choose Shabu-Tatsu as his favorite restaurant. He liked it so much, he even took his now-wife there for their first date. Now, over gyoza and thinly sliced wagyu beef, Robert discusses his meteoric success in the real-estate industry and his exciting plans for the future.

Postcards Café Hanelei, Kauai

A favorite of both locals and tourists alike, Postcards Café in Kauai is a perfect example of Old Hawaii charm. The Silver Diner in Clarendon takes it a step further with contemporary twists on American favorites, such as their miso burger, Old Bay flavored wings, and apple-pie French toast. Settled into a shiny booth with a plate of pancakes, former FBI hostage negotiator Chris Voss delves into his unbelievable career of negotiation, and how the skills he learned can be applied to any life situation.

Diners can gather in the back patio under whimsical fairy lights and enjoy unparalleled service from a knowledgeable staff. Established in 1918 on the Main Street of Kamas, UT, this historic business sells crafts, book, general merchandise, and some of the best burgers in the state. Boasting homemade malts and milkshakes, impeccable service, and a heaping serving of nostalgia, it's no wonder that activist and founder Elizabeth
